NASA has proven the EM drive to provide thrust with only electricity

But, there's a not-small problem with the system. It defies Newton's third law, which states that everything must have an equal and opposite reaction.

According to the law, for a system to produce thrust, it has to push something out the other way. The EM Drive doesn't do this.

Yet in test after test it continues to work. Last year, NASA's Eagleworks Laboratory team got their hands on an EM Drive to try to figure out once and for all what was going on.

NASA has tested the EM drive based on a conical shaped enclosure and demonstrated that the device has produced thrust with only an Electrical Current, then breaking Newton's third law of physics.  It reliably produces a thrust which makes me and probably a lot of other people very excited for the future of space travel if it turns fruitful!

 

This could be a great leap past the rocket as the main form of Space travel!  It could fundamentally change a lot of which we know about physics.

say we look at the weather, notice how they capture the density of the clouds?  that is in effect, a picture of EM waves outside of the visible spectrum.  Same with X-rays you get at the doctor.  those are just examples on my mind right now.  I wonder how an electron microscope compares.

If i recall correctly there was a paper published already proving there was an opposite reaction. The particals produced as an opposing reaction phase through the walls of the em drive and are difficult to detect. Nasa agreed with their conclusion.
