Did Linus revert the WAN show PC back to air cooling or is it still water cooled?

You can get much cheaper aluminum CPU blocks and even cheaper radiators and the same (?) pump all for under $20!   Now that is janky!   

 

 

Ghettocooling is my bread and butter.  Linus could have gone so much more janky.

 

I have an ebay 240mm chinarad and a super cheap GPU waterblock.  Used them for over a year after I added cooling for my GPU, only took them out because they were in the way when I installed my RX 470.

 

The CPU is cooled by the 140mm rad and waterblock originally used in an alienware area 51.

 

Pump is a Danger Den CPX-Pro.  I made a reservoir, which is attached to the side of the case.

 

The koolance 1/4in barbs (because of course it uses 1/4in tube) are a decent chunk of the price.

 

System self-bleeds, and temps are more than decent.  Zero issues with leaking.

This thing is uh... well it's pretty freaking janky. BUT it's actually not as bad as you might think!

 

 

It isn't really a custom loop, it's a DIY AIO. I seen those waterblocks and rads on ebay, I wondered how bad they'd be, well now I know they work but are a nightmare.

I would have liked a little more detail on the filling up, T joint, what the hell he was doing with the glass, the plastic thing, etc. And what did he do with all the tubing once the loop was full. I mean, we can all shop at Amazon, the meat here was making it work. Maybe it's because I don't know enough about custom loops, but it was all going great until that point, then cut cut cut, voilà, 5 degrees lower, thanks for watching :P
