SSD score dropped in Windows experience index

andsu

I refreshed my windows experience index score and my ssd score dropped from 7.8 to 5.9.

I have my OS installed on a 60gb intel ssd, and for storage i have a 1tb hdd. What might have happened here?

Don't worry about it, mine did too. Plus, don't worry about WEI, complete rubbish really and only there for bragging rights :P Go for proper benchmarking software if you want to test your SSD!

CPU: Intel Core i5 2550K @ 4GHz | Cooler: Gelid Tranquillo Rev. 2 | Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3

Are you sure the SSD isn't in IDE mode in the BIOS (Check to make sure it's in AHCI)?

@andsu Looks normal to me, when you fill your SSD it will decrease a little unfortunately, yours is a lot better than mine though! :P You could try AS SSD, I think it's called. But that program works good too!

How much space do you have left on your ssd?

I think wei requires like 15 % free space else it ends up giving you a lower score

Type in cmd(elevated)  Winsat disk -log and press enter ,then wait a minute or 2 to complete and see what it reports there. (there you could see where its scoring lower then normal) , but like Kieranthepcguy said, there's no need to worry about a wei score

Mine (vertex 2 E 120gb) (wei score ends up 7.7 for the ssd)
