Posted November 16, 2016 I am thinking about getting a used 29UM58 29" 1080x2560P 21:9 Ultrawide 60Hz for gaming purposes. For about the same price I could get a 23" 1080p 144Hz Used monitor. The only problem is that I'd have to get another 970 ($180 used) for 970 SLI to reach frames like that. If I did do that, I would not be able to get a lot of things that I wanted to get like a Xbox One Controller nor Void Wireless's. Is 144hz REALLY worth it? Like REALLY worth it. I am using 76hz, and it seems fine to me, but I have never used 144 fps. 21:9 looks pretty great to me. I love Ultrawide single monitor builds. I personally like both, in saying that if you don't have the hardware for it just go for the 60hhz 21:9 monitor, there is literally no need to spend another $160 for a new GPU just to get the frames unless you personally a displeased with 60hz. For $180 I could get Forza Horizon 3, Corsair Void Wireless to replace my Kraken Pros that really need to go, a Xbox One Controller to replace my outdated and bad xbox 360 controller, and a few other cool trinkets if I get a good deals.
