Samsung J5 'explodes'

Still, as a tech, I've only dealt with Apple batteries going thermal. It happens very often. Been lucky to have none explode.... yet.... but we've got metric shit tons of sand on standby.

 

People don't understand how dangerous this technology can be. These batteries seem to be more delicate than wet toilet paper. But when the case starts to bubble, and get hot, as long as there is still as charge, no one seems to care. Only when it explodes on  child or has no charge... then people give as rats ss.

Any idea if it is the 2016 or 2015 version of the phone that has 'exploded'?

 

My mother just bought the 2016 version...

 

Anyway, their budget line-up still has a removable battery so a recall seems unlikely.
