Zowie XL2540

So recently there has been some (somewhat minor) news about the new Zowie XL2540. Just wanted to get opinions about it.

 

I am aware of the ROG swift PG258Q, any reason as to why i am to pick one over the other if I'm going for a monitor with 240hz refresh rate?

 

For my use case I am to play CSGO at all low with a GTX 970, 1080p. I've heard that the monitor has freesync in it but I'm unsure if that will affect anything related to the refresh rate.

 

Any other thoughts on the monitor like price point or tech specs or things I should consider before possibly getting one?

Currently priced at $599 from what I've seen around, 100% not worth it?

My preference is only for 1080p, i guess i could downscale to 1080p for CSGO and 1440p for other games?

Do what you want, also monitors in that price range has gsync so 1440/144/ips/gsync a dream monitor for me imo

 

Get some black plastic panels and bam, diy your own shields for the sides lmao
