Asus VG248QE any good?

orangecat

I wanna go high refresh but the monitor I want (PG279Q) is just to much at the moment so I'm thinking of getting the VG248QE. I know it's TN and I know it doesn't have G-Sync but I currently own a 60Hz 1600x900 IPS display from Dell and it's really not that good so I figure why not take the hit in colour and go full HD with 144Hz.

Any owners out there have anything bad to say about this monitor?

i think my BenQ XL2411T uses the same panel and it's okay i guess. not spectacular but it's 144hz and your hardware can handle it.

I'd always go for more res than for more hz.

Well it depends on what kind of games you play. FPS games would highly benefit from 144hz

I've got the VG248QE and I love it. It's really nice if you have the hardware to push it. Going back to 60Hz looks so weird after being on 144Hz for so long.  I want to upgrade to 4K or an ultrawide fairly soon, but it's difficult to justify it when I spent $275 on this monitor only 2 years ago.
