Let's discuss digital marketing (YouTube)

Hi,

So i am trying to build a brand via YouTube.

Now i have business acumen and i am well aware of business models, but what would be the BEST way to promote a YouTube channel for a brand new starter?

According to the research from what i've read, the best methods are social media and luck (Viral).

Which is fine and i am gradually developing an audience.

But what is the best way to actually 'pay' for advertising and promoting a new channel?

I have seen Google Adwords, Facebook promotions, Twitter promotions etc...but where would be the best place to invest in?

(FYI, i know this sounds uber boring, but any help would be appreciated.

Just to build a better picture of what i am after, let's say a new YouTuber could make great (Non-viral) content. But with no initial followers/subscribers etc, how would people find the YouTuber?)

My advertising budget at the moment is £50-100 a month.

Well it seems this topic was moved and my reply was lost, I'm too lazy to rewrite the whole thing but long story short collaboration with other channels may be helpful for you.

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

Yeah but the issues with collabs is "It's not what you know, it's who you know."

With someone starting out (myself) from the offset. I don't know anyone to do a collaboration with. Plus, the people that will actually follow a third-party is those youtubers who are already pretty big, consistent and who the audience trusts.

I would say collaborations are a brilliant idea, but more of a mid-term strategy for like 10000-30000 subs.
