Nvidia Surround With Gtx 1060

PyroBlast13

I was just thinking about this coming chrismas season and, was thinking if I got another 2 Monitors I could do a nvidia surround setup. But im having a hard time finding anyone that has done a surround setup with a gtx 1060. Im just wondering how well it would perform, and if so what settings and fps could I expect? FYI I would be useing 3 1080p 144hz monitors.

well I doubt you would be able to push 144 on all 3 screens with a 1060, thats a lot of pixels to drive

im not saying to run at 144fps, its just to be consistent I would buy all the same monitor.

Well yeah 3 of the same monitor would be best, and hey if down the road you can get a 1080 it would rock even more frames too, I meant in no way to seem like I was bashing it or anything, cheers

970 is capable of 5760x1080@60hz if you were wondering. The 1060 6GB should do better in most cases. Some games will perform better and others won't. I'd focus on learning how to do ini edits.

they never said the size of the screens. 3 1 inch displays could easily be powered with a 1060 xD

Not necessarily. Google Glass... except make the whole lens be a transparent screen.

I would only go for a three monitor setup if i was really into car simulators and had an expensive steering wheel setup

some games don't really work well on multi monitor; re-watch the LTT 8k video for their critique of multi monitor gaming. I had two 1080p for work and it was great but i didn't game on both. Ever since i upgraded to a UHD monitor i don't use the second monitor. the extra pixels do the job that the old 1080's did.

There are plenty of games that work on triples. The issue is that people aren't willing to do ini edits and learn.

i know iv used others, and my opinion is i only enjoyed them on racing simulators. i wouldn't go through the expense myself; what I'm trying to say is id rather buy a UHD screen because its better than two 1080p screens

You can't do much with only two monitors, IMO. It's nice if you don't use the second for much of anything but it starts dragging its stand, so to speak.

For work its really useful, of course depending on the work you're doing. even if you put a small 19" cheap second hand monitor next to your giant 1080p it will boost your productivity by not having to alt-tab to read things
