Hi! It's my first time here and hello everyone!

4DHavoc

Hello fellow gamers, I currently have a Zotac AMP GTX 1060 6gb and I was wondering if I can undervolt my GPU and underclock it as well to achieve lower temperatures!?

Talking about temperatures, what would be a safe temperature for my Zotac AMP Edition GTX 1060 6gb!?

It has safe temperatures out of the box, you do not need to touch any settings. It is perfectly fine.

what temps you're getting?

It's currently being installed here in the techshop that I just bought it from, I'm using their net to ask questions but in reviews it reaches a maximum of 78C when gaming and being benchmarked as well as stresstested.

Anything below 85C is safe, don't worry about it.

They would not sell a card that overheats.

Who wouldn't?  I'm pretty sure there have been lots of products that thermal throttle "out of the box" before...

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Thermal throttling =/= overheating.

Thermal throttling was specifically invented to prevent overheating.

i5-4670 should do nicely even with a 1070. Your 1060 would be a good match.

I would suggest getting EVGA Precision (software) and setting a fan curve for the temps to stay safe. As @Enderman said, anything below 85C is (generally) safe. If you do notice fluctuations in your performance though, I'd send it back if possible.

Just by the performance. If it gives you good performance, it's a good card. Make sure you play games to verify that overclock.
