Build now with 6th Gen or wait for 7th Gen?

Hello guys!

I've been waiting for months to build a PC and now I can finally build but, Should I build now with 6th Gen? or wait for 7th Gen CPUs to be available for purchase?

Thanks in advance!

When the CPU's hit, the 1080ti will be inc, then you wait for those and AMD's new cpu's will be inc, then AMD's high end GPU's then intel gen 8 etc etc etc.

Kabylake offers minimal improvements afaik, I would just grab a z170 now and go for it, especially if you have the money now to complete the whole build

Nah, only a 10-15% difference in synthetic benchmarks means you're not going to see much real world benefit from waiting. Which CPU though?

Yes I have the money for a complete build. I have two options-

i5 and 1050Ti

i3 and 470

Which one should I go for?

Edit: I cant afford a z170 motherboard

I wouldn't build now, I'd wait until Black Friday. You'll get the most for your money then, and you'll likely be able to step that graphics card up a level.

yea what @dizmo said, just wait till a sale happens and then get it

i would also suggest to try and save up as much as possible to afford some better hardware

if you don't mind second hand then ebay is a good place to start to look and see what people are selling that part you need for

****SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH IT'S REALLY TERRIBLE*****

Been married to my wife for 3 years now! Yay!

eBay is a horrible place to look for used hardware...most of the time people pay way, way more than it's actually worth.

There are good deals to be had, but it requires tons of patience and watching possibly hundreds of auctions come and go without seeing any results.

Craigslist, or your local classifieds is generally much better.
