Posted October 23, 2016 So yeah while I wait for my DisplayPort to HDMI converter I am stuck at 1080P, so I have the choice of playing at 60Hz or 120Hz, 60Hz make things more clear but obviously its 60Hz so a lower refresh rate, 120Hz makes things a bit fuzzy but makes things smoother, what do you think? and yes almost all my games run at above 60FPS. Posted October 23, 2016 For me this would depend on the game. If were single player, 60Hz. It were competitive FPS or multiplayer, 120Hz. Posted October 23, 2016 120hz is better. I tried changing settings in overwatch to move the fps around and I did noticeably better at a higher fps. It's even better for single player games. Especially open world ones.
Posted October 23, 2016 144hz but if you have to chose between the two, 120hz, regardless of what game you're playing. it's not just for competitive games. Every game that supports 144hz or 120hz will feel sooo much better for you. Posted October 24, 2016 id try and create a custom resolution, i have found 75hz to be a nice sweet spot, the difference from 60-75 is more noticeable to me than going from 75 to 144hz, maybe because I'm using freesync? ----Ryzen R9 5900X----X570 Aorus elite----Vetroo V5----240GB Kingston HyperX 3k----Samsung 250GB EVO840----512GB Kingston Nvme----3TB Seagate----4TB Western Digital Green----8TB Seagate----32GB Patriot Viper 4 3200Mhz CL 16 ----Power Color Red dragon 5700XT----Fractal Design R4 Black Pearl ----Corsair RM850w----
