Xbox One S vs $500 PC

changing the upload time again?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Nope - today just ran into some issues -_-

Video that was supposed to come out today couldn't, then this one took forever to re-export because it's 60fps and up to 4k... Blah blah blah late uploads suck.

Should be back on schedule tomorrow at noon!

PC is better you will spend more in the beginning but you will save more from steam sales and not buying a new console but only getting a new bit or 2

Correct, Project Scorpio is the competitor to the PS4 Pro.

I was disappointed to hear that Sony was skipping 4k Bluray support, as DVD and Bluray support where deciding factors in my purchase of the PS2 and PS3 (as at the time I purchased them they where the cheapest option for their respective disc technologies), But I also did some more research and the One S doesn't support Dolby Atmos and a few other things (that I can't remember right now) makes it a little sub par as far as being a UHD disc player goes, so once again I will be skipping this generation.

Why didn't ya throw a similairly priced FM2+ APU system into the mix? Kind of a dead platform at this point, but still, it's what $300 new would get you for a gaming PC

Will you be doing any retesting when AM4 comes out? supposed to be out soon or something...really need it for my ITX emulation rig

just a side note: Forza Horizon 3 received 2 updates already to address the PC performance issues, and it has improved for some, but made it worse or stayed the same for others. the devs are still trying to iron it out but it'll take a while until it actually performs as it should.

The A10s don't perform too much better than the A8s, seems to be a limit of their memory bandwidth and because they cap out at 3ghz when the iGPU is used, also the A8 has a lower TDP

otherwise, no CX PSUs meng, cmon.

and the 460 would work as well, it's just that the consoles are running APUs, so best comparison is to desktop APUs
