Problem with amazon delivering on release date day?

Cvdasfg

First off I'd like to say mods I apologize if this is in the wrong spot, I'm not entirely sure where this should go..

So I've done my past 5 playstation game preorders through amazon and the last 4 came a day late which really kinda peeved me off but whatever mistakes are made sometimes, Then today I get an email that bf1 (which I preordered weeks ago) was going to have a 3 day delay?!? Uhm ok they waited until today to tell me this? Have any of you guys experienced the same problems? Or am I just extremely unlucky? Where do you guys have the best experience preordering your games?

P.S. Yes I know its bad to pre order games, But for some games even if they sucked i'd still play them :P.

You're probably just unlucky. Sometimes I've had games arrive a day early, sometimes they come in a day or two after the release date.

I agree with this.

you shouldn't be expecting games on release date I think.

I don't agree with this.  If the seller says it'll be delivered on a certain date, it should be delivered on that date.

And the seller typically has a disclaimer saying they don't make such a guarantee. If I ship something to you, I can't guarantee that the courier doesn't have a break down, isn't caught in bad weather, or their vehicles had very terrible things happen.

Even couriers will tell you that they'll do their best to deliver on time, but they wont' guarantee it.

That's understood.  However, this is the issue I have with that:

If they say it's guaranteed, they should be obligated to make that happen.  Ship it early if they have to.  They're offering the guarantee and not the customer asking for it.

If they can't guarantee it, they shouldn't say they can guarantee it.

Then you ping Amazon if it doesn't make the delivery date. But in regards to preorders, it depends on the manufacturer/publisher, among other things: https://www.amazon.com/forum/-/Tx16AGKC7LHBOX2/ref=ask_dp_dpmw_al_hza?asin=B01F9HMO9S

But looking at Battlefield 1 in particular, Amazon only says the game will be released on the 21st. They made no claims they'll deliver on or you'll receive by then.
