The human eye does not see in "Frames per second", it is being fed a constant stream of light, not doing something like taking pictures hundreds of times per second.

Even anything 120 doesn't look quite right in some games when on 144hz.

if you have ever played in anything higher then 60FPS, then yes. I called it bullshit and loved my 30FPS. Then.... I played at 120hz at my friends and am doing everything I can to get a 120hz monitor along with a system that can run 120fps as soon as possible.

Cinematic and gaming are different, you can watch something at 24fps and it will look as good as something you watch at 60fps. But if you are giving inputs and reacting to things on screen FPS can make a big difference
