Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Hello! So I just got my white LED light strip that is going to shine in my case. The problem is, I have no idea where to plug this cable in (does not enter PSU nor MOBO anywhere. Do I need another cable for this one to go into? Linking pics below. Thanks

Yes, the one in your hand is molex. It should have come with an adapter, or your psu already has one. I've seen them on the ends of SATA power cables

That is molex. There might be a sata power to molex in the psu box. They are cheap on amazon if you done have one.

I don't think my PSU has 6 pin, can only see 8 pins. This means I need to get an 8 pin PSU to molex cable?

You should have some spare cables left over when you got your computer, it will be with them, one end will go into the PSU and the other will go into the Molex in your hand.  The spec sheet for your PSU says you should have a couple of them if you cannot find them send OCZ a message and they should be able to help you out.

I didn't build this PC myself. The PSU is from my work, so I don't have the PSU box
