How to fix steam shortcuts missing icons.

Hey,just had this problem myself,heres how i fixed it

 

1. Right click on the problem shortcut and go to "properties"

2.Hit "change Icon" then "browse"

3.Navigate to the install directory of said game (for me its D:\Games\steamapps\common\L.A.Noire)

4.Look for the games .exe and select it

5.Choose whichever res you want and hit "Ok"

6. Hit "apply"

 

And you are done. Hope this helps!

No problem! I realised today that people might not know this, I found it myself and haven't seen it anywhere before so idk if im the first to find it (i doubt it though)

Sometimes steam bugs out and the icons go blank,some people dont know that you can use the icons from exe's. The only guides i saw were compliccated and involved reinstalls of games,so i just quickly whiped this up while i was fixing my own icons.
