I just think if i change to a bigger monitor my card wont be virtually scalling to a 1080p resolution.which it naturally supports?

About dota2, at my current setting w/ the 1080p resolution i think i got 40-58 ish fps and w/o dropping to 10.. its not yet confirmed to be ok cause i just tested it with AI or bots and not with real ingame

if your screen is not 1080p, yes you can change it but no, the video card will not work less

dota 2 : you're not alone : https://steamcommunity.com/app/570/discussions/0/492378806375807169/

if 1920x1080 is worse than 1600x900, then lower configuration. If min config at 1080 is still worse, go back to 1600x900, but keep in mind this issue is only with dota 2

I think core voltage and power limit.. ill confirm it when i get home

30% is way too much..... 110% power and 110% core is already a lot

BSOD prevent damage by turning off the computer when it encounter a dangerous/anormal situation. Also in your GPU there are resistors to prevent damage, don't worry that much

test other games to see if it also happens. If no, then it's probably the game that has poor graphic driver. If yes, then the best thing would be in my opinion to use your card warranty to have a RMA

RMA means to bring it back where you bought it with the invoice and they replace it

probably not but you can still ask... after all its works, but strangely, and it's 100% not your fault. But before that how are other games ? same problem ?

you can try to set

1250 GPU Clock

1600 Memory

+15%power control

that could be stable to use, but I can holy hope it resolves your issue, I'm not sure, but please try

well I didn't believe it but it seems you have a CPU bottleneck.

try to use higher resolution to lower fps and see if CPU load decreases

1600x900 ?? you lowered the resolution....and you have more fps (logical) but...... your R9 270X is now working better (82% load vs 50 sooner) try to put 2560x1440 resolution and try again

first time you posted monitored BF4, it was at 1920x1080 right ?

second time you chose 1600x900 right ?

I asked you to look the tutorial on the link http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/VSR.aspx that allows to choose 2560x1440 resolution un game
