3440x1440

Cereal5

Hey LTT,

I've been looking at monitors for a while, and I was first thinking of getting a 1440p 144Hz monitor. But I realized that if I save up an Extra $100 or so I can get a 1440 UW monitor. I was browsing my local craigslist when I came across a Dell U3415W for sale for $500. I'm a big promoter of buying used stuff, My truck is used, even my Asus PB278Q is a 2012 model that i purchased over the summer and it works like its brand new. I've read reviews and seen the monitor in person and it looks like a really solid monitor.

Is it worth buying used or not take the risk? New 3440x1440 monitors start at $700 and quickly go up

Thanks

If you wait for Black Friday/Cyber Monday you'll find better deals new. The only reason you'd buy off the craigslist guy is because he might be one of the murdering ones and would get upset if you didn't.

True, Black friday isn't too far around the corner and I'll be able to save up my pretty pennies. Also, not looking for a 4k monitor. I want a 3440x1440 lol... otherwise i'll stick to my current 1080 and 1440p monitors. and by risk i mean risk of dead pixels and potential problems with the monitor. not the person.

Well your build can handle it for starters. I love my ROG Dominator 144hz 1440p but I only hear praises about ultrawides on the forum.
