Time machine is the ideal back up tool.....

Too bad I don't use mac as my main workstation.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

I own a MacBook Air but I also have a cheap laptop, and I can back up my system on it. Well, at least I should do it but I can't manage to find the right way to do it.

We're using it as a router because our ISP gave us a shitty internet box, so yeah, it gave us a little bit of troubles

I have 2 externals hard drivers that I use for backup and 4 clouding services, all of them for backing up specific files.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Mind you it's not only for backup, some large stuff that I don't need now I put on mentioned devices, but all of them are for backup as well. It's a system that I like.

Don't you kinda think it's warranted? I don't know about you, but it would suck fucking balls to lose everything because you were too lazy/didn't care to backup.

It's already happened to me 3 times, and I'm not real keen on it happening again.

Family photos too... I'm buying another 3TB drive for this back up thingy.

Just now, hotweather said:

I'm surprising to find that the cloud storage is not NO.1. Why most of you would like to back up photos to hdd?

I think that most of the people here prefer the old school way.

You can totally control how to back up, when to back up, and where you plan to back up.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
