i can see there is a link to cable mod, this seems like cable extensions. Does anyone know how he has done and where he got the case cables. The powerswitch/resetswitch and the buttons and other things that come stock in case- usb (dont really care about the power or hdd led)?

Only LTT can do a 'final' video after a finale.

I like the final results of the desk PC though. Personally I would never used a desk that is made out of glass though. That gets (visibly) dirty way too quick + can scratch so easily..

Amazing video! Please do more montages like that in the future =)

I would even be happy with Tech porn shots at the conclusion of a video after the plug for tunnel bear.

I'm not sure about Canada but the US has this kind of odor eliminating filter at our home depots:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Web-20-in-x-25-in-x-1-in-Absorber-Odor-Control-FPR-5-Air-Filter-WABSORBFPR/100011568

it's black on one side but green on the other, so I guess if you want to complete the look you can just sandwich the two pieces together to hide the green.

Yeah YouTube seems to have screwed up the processing... It was exported in 4K, only processed to 1440 so far -_-

Why didn't you put Xeon and Quadro in it?

Because Linus doesn't need those?

It's not like his PC will be a rendering farm, he won't do color work, etc.

Hey linus great video.  Can I make a suggestion for a desk pc that I just came up with?  I have a desk that has a cutout for a tower pc. You know what would be cool?  If you could build a custom case that fits perfectly in said cutout and kinda slides in on "rails" and has a handle like a trash can under a sink for pulling it out and moving it for lan parties and stuff. Maybe you could even do "pass through cable ports in the back of the desk for better cable management.  That way when you go to move the desk you can move the pc separately.

I loved the video and especially the glamour footage in conjunction with the music. Great job.

If you want to replace the blue filters, i would look into using filter foam. You could probably DIY some filters from the foam that some electronics come packed with, but airflow may be an issue as packing foam is usually more dense to cushion the impact. Most filter foam is measured in pores per inch with lower PPI giving better airflow, and less filtration. Amazon has lots of sizes and thicknesses so finding something for the project should be easy.

In the last video you showed off the beautiful blue filter because you hadn't found suitable black or white filtering material yet. Might i suggest looking in to floor pads.

They do have a hole in the middle, but i think you can cut around that, and they're only a couple of buck a piece. (The hardness does vary from light to dark, soft to hard)floor_pads__14682_zoom__41548_zoom.jpg

A user interface is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it’s not that good.

My setup: AMD FX-8350, 16GB DDR-1600, ASUS GeForce GTX 970 STRIX
