please help me!!!!!!

so i am totally confused what to do lets start from the beginning,

i am building my computer, it is a beast. it will have a gtx 1070 amp! extreme, an i7 6700k and 3200mhz ram. now i want to decide a monitor.

i want a 1080p 144hz or 120hz IPS monitor and 1 to max 5 ms response time. but i am not able to find any monitor with a 1080p screen!! with these specs.

so now you all would be thinking if i have a pc with capabilities to use a 1440p screen so why i am not taking a monitor with a 1440p screen? so here is the answer,

i want to use this pc for a long time! in few years or even months my pc would not be able to play maxed out games at very high detail above 60FPS, so thats why i want a 1080p monitor and i want a good quality screen (IPS) because i watch many movies and dont want a TN panel. so can anyone recommend any monitor to me?? and i am not going with lower hz like 60 or 70hz becase people say if i have a 60hz monitor i cannot see more than 60fps and if my games are running high than the the refresh rate of my monitor than i will see TEARING!!! help me

Get a monitor that support G-Sync, and you wont get any tearing (needs an Nvidia GPU, which you have).

As a general rule the GTX1070 will play most games at or above 60Hz at 1440p.

If you want "always above 60Hz" then yes, you will need to go for 1080p monitor (with G-Sync).

But yes, its TN, not IPS.   To get IPS i think you'd need to by a 27inch 1440p and just run it in 1080p mode.

how much are you looking to fork out is the first question before you get any help?

120 or 144Hz is pretty much useless if you're not going to perform GPU upgrades "regularly" since even at 1080p it won't be maxing out over 120-144FPS constantly on every game. Not even now.

Might as well just get a decent 60Hz panel and call it a day. Just my two cents though.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Hey man. Firstly, I highly recommend scaling back your RAM purchase to 2133 or 2400mhz. It is substantially cheaper and also cooler. If you didn't know, DDR4 is clocked at 2133mhz and you need to over clock it (xmp) to reach the 3200mhz listed speed. This means much more heat coming out of that MOBO region. Also, there really is no performance improvement unless you are a developer that uses some obscure coding programs.

Secondly, you will have absolutely no problem driving a 144hz 1080p monitor with a 1070 but I would rather recommend a 1440p display @60hz with gsync.

But with 60hz I will only see 60 fps!! My card can easily give out 70 to 80 fps and now I am taking the 1080 ftw ?

Depends on the game. Frames aren't everything. Also depends on settings used.
