What headphones

I am looking for a pair of headphones and cannot decide which ones to get. I was thinking of getting the Bose quiet comfort 35's but now I don't know. I am looking for excellent sound quality for $100 more or less than the Bose. Any suggestions from all you audio files out there??

What type of headphones do you seek?

 

Closed Back, Semi Open, Open Back?

 

On Ear or Over Ear?

 

tbh Bose isnt the best sounding headphones

 

What kind of soundstage? 

 

What kind of sounds? Neutral Sounding, Analytical Sounding, Brighter, Bassy? / Music genre

 

Impedence? (if at the higher ranges of 250Ohms ~ 600Ohms, an HP AMP is required)

I just want some really good sounding headphones that are good for on the go. I was looking into the sennheiser HD 598s but they don't seem so portable.

the 598's arent made for on the go, and they're open, made for reference / listening at home

 

I think u might be looking for a a closed back then

Perhaps the Sennheiser Momentum 2 is more suited for your type of use, they sound great too

Someone else recommended the Audio Technica ATH MSR7 do you think that they are any good
