Cooler Master 212X vs Cryorig H5 Ultimate

Thanks

The H5 definitely outperforms the 212X. Also, Cryorig has always been my brand of choice for good budget cooling, and I'm using the H5 in my upcoming build. Just make sure your ram is 35mm or lower. If not, get the H5 Universal.

The Ultimate(black fan) performs 1-2C better, but it has a 35mm ram clearance. The Universal(white fan) supports all ram.

It will work with both I believe. One website reports it as 30mm, another 34mm, but either way it will work.

So I should go for the Ultimate because it keeps it a tiny bit cooler and it will fit in with my RAM?

If you have a choice, go for the Ultimate. It performs a little better and has a much higher airflow rating on the fan.

The Universal uses a thinner fan and doesn't overhang any ram slots.

HyperX Fury isn't tall and will fit with most coolers.

If you're not oc'ing, the H5 is definitely overkill.

As for the 212x, it probably is still overkill unless you're cooling a a 6950x or something along those lines.

If you're sticking to a 6700 or 6700k mentioned in your other threads, a M9i would be plenty of cooling already: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/LPVBD3/cryorig-cpu-cooler-m9i

I don't think I will be dong much oc'ing so is the M91 reliable and also would it work with G.skills Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz? I am asking because I found a bundle deal with that RAM in it

The H5 Ultimate is the PC equivalent of a sex machine. Its studly good looks and smashing performance have left many a CPU breathless and looking for a morning-after pill.

If you're not overclocking, it's also a colossal waste of money. The M9i, as @WoodenMarker suggested, is perfect. You might also consider the Deepcool Gammaxx 400, which is a little bigger and $5 more, but it covers you if you do decide to do some moderate overclocking in the future.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

I don't intend to do overclocking but I might do it once it a while. I don't think I need the H5 because I am now going with M91.  So the M91 isn't good for overclocking?

It can handle a light overclock perfectly fine. The Gammaxx 400 gives you a little more headroom if you want to go for a bigger overclock down the road.

I won't be overclocking alot because I am getting i7 6700K which has a good base clock for what I need it for. Thanks for the suggestions and please check out my newest post about my final gaming rig. YOur advice is really helpfull.

Yeah, M9i is perfectly fine then. I'll jump over and take a look before passing out.
