Audio Cracking

Hi guys

I've posted this before but. I've done some troubleshooting myself and problem still pursues. I had some audio cracking noises whenever i have a short millisecond latency. Be it switching tabs on chrome, alt-tab to a game. Sometimes it happens while watching a video on youtube, single tab, no background activity. I'm so confused. I tried reinstalling realtek HD audio manager and it kinda solve the problem for a day. Next I tried was disabling any nvidia backend services but it stop working now. I have to re-install my audio driver everyday and starts to bug me out. Any idea? I've tested my earpiece, it's not that. Changed another port and still pursues.

How old is your motherboard?

I know it is Z107, so a relatively new platform, but if its an earlier manufactured one, and its been used a lot at high volumes, it may be dieing

A good example in game is in Dota 2, there'll be the cracking when i explode something. Not just dota 2, fallout 4, naruto shippuden storm 4 has the most impact.

Hmmm.

I think there is a defect in one of the chips responsible for low frequencies/bass, as explosions are ful of deep, low sounds.

Have you been running any very high powered headphones through your PC, rather than just earbuds

If so, you may be overloading your onboard AMP.

Another cause could be running at too high of a volume for a while

Ok.

Most likely a defect in one of the bass chips in the on board audio.

Did you properly insulate yourself when you were handling/installing the motherboard (ESD strap, etc...)

When did it first get noticed?

How annoying is is?

If you wanted, you could definitely put in an RMA request, since the audio is defective.

Are you sure it is not those ear buds, because if they were free, well, you get the point

It was fine at the start. No problems. I started to notice in around June. That time i did a reinstall for audio manager and it worked. Also. I've been using the earbuds for my phone, my laptop and this desktop for the past year. Perfectly fine for the rest of the devices.

1) test your headphones in another computer to make sure those are not the problem

2) buy a cheap sound card or external usb DAC

Try to put your audio hardware to the minimal spec to see if it still happen. 16 bits, 44kHz, Cd quality.

Have you tried other audio ports. Front IO?
