Curved 21:9 or a plain 16:9 monitor

Hello every one,

I got a question on what monitor(s) to buy. The reason why i cant choose is that there are advantages and disadvantages on all the options (while not going over budget).

What is going to be on the monitors is: i game alot, watch movies, watch youtube, program a lot and am using some servers  that monitor allot.

I came up myself with some options. but feel free to leave your own thoughts on monitors, or what one you prefer of my choices. Keep in mind, im not thinking to spend more then around 700 euro.

the options:

2 144hz with 1 response time monitors. On a dual monitor arm to keep them close and look nicer.

1 ultra wide curved 1080p with 144hz and 4 ms response time.

1 ultra wide curved 1440p with 60hz and 4/5ms response time.

what would be your choice, and why? Or do you have some other recommendations?

edit:

I currently have a:

i5 4690k

asrock z97 killer

8 gb of ddr ram (1800mhz)

msi R9 390 (thinking on upgrading to 1070)

not that storage matters but:

a 256 ssd

and a 2tb hdd

I don't know what would be best for you, but I love my curved ultrawide. IMO it is best if you are looking to play games beautifully, but watching youtube isn't spectacular on it.

alright well that solved that. If you want best of both worlds  qnix qx2710 is extremely good for that and can be oc up to 140hz, mine is oc at 90hz but I maxed it at 100hz and toned it down. If you just want pure 144hz than go with a 1080p 144hz panel.

Why isnt it spectacular? Does it look worse, or the same as normal?

I have the predator x34 (3440x1440p 100fps) and the actual video just looks very small on the screen

But if you are multitasking anyways, it is fine to have it on one side of the screen while doing whatever on the other. Or you can just put it in full screen

Yay a QNIX brother ;-)

i love mine, also clocked at 90hz, only thing is caution, I have no dead pixels but some backlight bleeding that doesn't bother me, however it's a risk with these monitors that not everyone wants to take...

also slightly annoying is the single input as it means I can't run my Linux box off it at the same time.

the addons dont change the aspect ratio they just zoom the camera in to fill the gaps.. you miss part of the image off.
