Clueless iPhone 7 owners tricked into DRILLING hole in their phones to ‘get a headphone jack’

Needless to say drilling a hole into your iPhone will leave you with a very broken handset - and not the promised addition.

Apple's newest model has ditched the jack in favour of bluetooth headphones to make more room for internal hardware.

But customers have been left angry at the decision - with some taking extreme measures to bring back the old hole.

As a result some desperate viewers were duped into destroying their new handsets with the cruel DIY tip.

I saw this just now and thought it was pretty hilarious. On the site the word 'cruel' video is used a few times but I actually think its a work of genius and shines a spotlight on some peoples intelligence

Its gets better though.

Stupid people doing stupid things, in a world getting more stupid everyday. Eitherways, funny for someone i guess. Altough the the topic has been properly implemented, i dont think it deserves a spotlight in the news section :p. Ive seen EAP and TechRax doing similar things to stop the hissing sounds and add a 3.5mm hole.

Not that i believe anyone did this i think its too much work for em if there that dumb to start. Unlike the new IOS update made your phone waterproof & You can now charge your phone by microwaving it for 30 seconds   which anyone can try in seconds if there at home lol

A video claiming that users can add a headphone socket to the iPhone 7, which only has a Lightning port, by drilling into the bottom of their phone has been watched almost 10m times.

The prank video shows a man drilling a 3.5mm hole into the bottom left edge of the iPhone 7 held in a vice. It points to the row of small holes on the left side thatreplaced the headphone socket present on the iPhone 6S and claims that drilling into the second hole on the left reveals a hidden socket.

 

 

The video was produced by Sacramento, California-based Ukrainian YouTuber Taras Maksimuk who “specialises in smashing technology for your pleasure” according to his profile. Some of Maksimuk’s other videos include “what happens if you microwave an iPhone 7” and “can the iPhone 7 survive in liquid nitrogen for five minutes”.

 

I checked the first 3 pages here and did not see anything relating to this so figured I would post it. This is way to hilarious to NOT share with the community.
