Cherry Switches.

I was looking at keyboards the other day, what is the difference between a cherry mx red switch and a mx speed?  Will it make that much of a difference in game?

The only difference is that MX Reds have a travel distance of 2mm, and MX Speeds have a travel distance of 1.2mm. Everything else, including actuation force, is exactly the same. I'd imagine that, well, speeds up the keypress and allows for quicker reaction time.

MX speed has lower travel distance to make it actuate faster.

Just saying, it's much better to go into a store and test MX switches. You may end up hating reds and loving browns, who knows?

True, i will look and see what stores around me have mechanical keyboards
