Should I get back into Runescape?

Okjoek

I Began playing RS back in late 2006 and was a regular player until sometime around 2011-12 when they began doing these updates like "RS3" and "combat evolved" and stuff I've been able to learn the new combat and stuff, but I'm not sure if I want to play, but I have been looking for MMO titles I can play that are supported on multiple operating systems like Linux and Mac and not just windows.

Are there any other titles I might be interested that fit that description?

They're a bunch of fucks that have been banning people for macroing who haven't macro'd. So I'm a bit salty about them. It hasn't changed all that much though, with how you play. Same thing as it always was.

Not sure if you know, but they've released OSRS, which is like RS was in 2007, and it's pretty good.

Yeah I knew that, but I've heard they changed that game a lot from what the game actually was ~2007.

It's just that I've been taking a break from my Windows PC where my go-to game is Planetside 2 these days and man is that an MMO with awesome scale. I can still find some nice shooters for Linux such as Insurgency, TF2 or CSGO, but I can't find games that had large open worlds with other players like RS or PS2.

Also i havnt been able to find anything with the same feel as osrs. Only WoW wasd clones or similar mmos. Path of Exile is a diablo 3 type clone with more of a mmorpg feel. Id reccomend giving that a try its also free.

WoW is more worth your time, unless you have many things on RS you want to get back into! ;)
