Fastest budget SSD?

So I'm building a PC and want to know what the best SSD I can get is for around £130. The useage of it would be obviously windows and some games like styria to slow load times down along with other games that have long loading screens.

M.2 SSD like SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 250GB $99.99 USD, £ 77.11. For your budget stick to M.2 if your motherboard can support it, which it should. M.2 is way faster than SATA in terms of transfer speed so it will be your best bet.

M.2 Ssds are far faster than Sata drives, while costing quite a bit more. If you want capacity, look at a Sata drive. If you want purely speed, then M.2 is the answer. Either way, look for an evo 850 for both options.

Fantastic, thanks for the help! So are m.2 all faster because I thought m.2 was just a form factor?

He can afford the cost so M.2 is the way to go in this case.

Yes, an example is SATA can do a 6gb/s M.2 10gb/s transfer speed

Samsung, Intel (recommend), Crucial, and hyperx are good brands.

Actually, no. That m.2 less read and write speed then a regular sata 850 evo. The only real speed m.2 is the 950 pro. So Just get a 850 evo 500gb or 250gb.

m.2 is just a form factor

the "850evo m.2" and "850evo sata" drives perform exactly the same.

dont waste your money on the m.2 variant unless it runs on PCIe

One of the ways. There are other good SSD suppliers.
