Setting Up Link Aggregation

SimssmiS

Hi,

Im trying to set up Link Aggregation for my Win 7 PC and my Unraid Server

Hardware:

PC:

LogiLink® 2-Port Gigabit LAN PCI-Express Card

Server:

Supermicro X9SRL-F (Onboard Gigabit Lan 2x)

Switch:

xyXel GS1920-28

I tried setting up Link Aggregation on the switch but as soon as i plugged in 2 cables for 1 device, the device became unreachable.

I am happy for everyone that tries to Help

Thanks

You need to set it up at all connection points, that means the 4 switch ports (2 LAGs of 2 ports) and on each computer.

It appears you are trying to get faster than 1Gb speeds between your NAS and your computer. Keep in mind, you will still get only gigabit speeds. LAGG is only for load balancing on networks where many users are accessing one server.

My native language is C++

Thank you so much.

From what I know, SAMBA doesn't have full multichannel support. SAMBA is the file sharing program used in unraid.
