Nice. Not too demanding but still enough to make the game look damn good.

Oh I don't really hate it you know? It is my defacto main OS (Since I spend more hours per week on my work laptop, Windows 10 on that rig) I just like to remind people that a few games here and there are not worth the headache. You know, resident butthead and all that.

Yeah, they actually wanted to deliver a good game, but UWP was horrible at that time.

Sadly, it's unlikely to see Forza outside the shitty Windows Store.

The pricing kinda sucks, but I still got it due to the fact i miss forza too much. Forza apex ran great to I dont expect anything less. Can't wait to play it tomorrow.

Massive hype, the game's gotten good reviews so I'm definitely looking forward to playing it on PC. Nice to know that buying the digital version gives me the game on Xbone for free too.

Games system requirements nowadays are high as heck .-.

And rather than sometimes working on older hardware, it takes better hardware than the ones listed for recommended (Same bs for Halo 5 Forge)

So how much pressure/fear should I feel from that Anniversary Update requirement?

I will stick to The Crew for now, even if it has become mediocre.

I would say download forza apex and see how it runs, I would expect it to be very similar (same game engine but slightly improved)

I mean, it's not surprising at all though. W10 was free so pretty much anyone available in that period could get it/reserve it so. Moving forward is good too.

Well it is Forza, i cant say im too surprised that they are going to have multiple editions and likely tons of dlc for unlocking cars and stuff. A lot of the racing games feel like Train Simulator 2015 with all their $10,000 in DLC.

Intel i5 4670K (3.8 GHz) | ASRock Extreme 4 Z87 | 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP 2x8GB | Gigabyte GTX980ti | Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 240GB | Corsair RM 850W | Nanoxia Deep Silence 1| Ducky Shine 3 | Corsair m95 | 2x Monoprice 1440p IPS Displays | Altec Lansing VS2321 | Sennheiser HD558 | Antlion ModMic

I have Win 10 AU, but I still won't bother with the game so long as it uses UWP. I find that platform horribly restricted, and I don't trust it for posterity: How easy will it be to tweak a UWP game to work in 10 or 15 years' time, on a new iteration of Windows, or other OS? Or, how easy will it be to implement a workaround for a hardware-specific issue with a UWP application? I see buying a UWP game as buying a game with an expiration-date, and which is more vulnerable to access issues, and so I won't do it.

It should be no surprise that a Microsoft-published game is requires Windows 10 / DX 12, since Microsoft wants to push Windows 10, the Windows Store, and its UWP platform. And all MS-published games have been Windows Store / DX 12 for some time, so this is just continuing the trend.

It's only Microsoft-published games that I'll miss out on by not using the Windows Store, and I can live with that. And if Microsoft wants to broaden their reachable market, they'll have to also offer their games on Steam and other platforms.
