PS VR or Build a Gaming PC

Idk what to choose, buying the PS VR saves me a lot of money which I can buy games/VR games with it and of course VIRTUAL REALITY.

but if I build a gaming PC, I don't have to spent money online, cheaper games, play games at 1080p60. but no VR (because is too damn expensive)

PC because VR on the Oringinal PS4 won't look good and won't last long until developers only develop PS VR games for the PS4 Pro.

I would wait to see reviews on Playstation vr because it might end up being not very good. Also a gaming pc can used for more than just gaming so that's also a major upside to a gaming pc

The ps4 can't do 60Hz 1080p, so it most likely fakes the Hz to get to 90/120Hz, if you want the better experience go pc.

I would honestly suggest swapping out the GTX 970 for a price-comparable Pascal or Polaris GPU (Pascal if you want to keep it NVIDIA). Pascal introduced some new VR friendly features, and it's simply a newer and more refined arch over Maxwell, even if it's really only Maxwell 2.0.

 

Also that CPU is gonna hold the system back, and create a bottleneck. It's still certainly VR capable, but getting an i5 in there, and scaling back something else would be better.

I was seeing how well I could go for a blue theme build. I was orginally putting i3 6100 and pairing with RX 480 but I want to see how I can do with just blue color.

You're not familiar with plasti-dip? Linus did several videos on it, and they feature it often when they need to colour-coordinate a build (Eg: Painting the RAM Heatsinks or a GPU shroud to match a theme).

 

It's basically rubber that you paint on, but once it dries, it's very easy to just peel off afterwards, so it won't harm the component. The downside is that it's pretty thick - much thicker than even multiple coats of paint will be, so you can't use it on everything.
