Dual booting ubuntu 16.04 and windows 7

I have dual booted my laptop with ubuntu 16.04 and windows 7,whenever i use ubuntu it works fine but when i want to change over to windows 7,the bootloader will not work properly first it will show a pinky screen with white lines running across the screen and then an option to choose between win7 and ubuntu after that when win7 finally loads, it will be in that loading state for 3-4 mins,i have to restart 2-3 times for windows to properly boot, what should i do so that win7 and ubuntu both properly boots up.

ps: i used eacy bcd for dual booting

Have you installed both on UEFI? Because it will not work properly on legacy.
