Video Encoding Challenge

That's old stuff, at least the Intel document is from 2007, when software was still somewhat immature.  We're in 2016 now.

Why is there no replay to a post? Anyhow, the principles discussed in the article largely remain the same. I was just giving supportive evidence of dispersing workloads using a FPGA, which would probably work best in this type of scenario. I kind of want to do the same thing but instead of optimizing one system I want to evenly distribute processing power across my LAN. Kind of like a master slave node setup, but each node is both a master and slave and able to control or be controlled depending on a given application.

Hi Linus, could you repeat this test for the benefit of the photographers using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop?

Many many thanks
