Dual Monitors Basic Question

HungryHamster

I'll apologize in advance for what I'm sure is a very, very basic question...

I have a Benq XL2410T monitor that runs at 120hz, 1920x1080, 2ms but I'm considering upgrading to an Acer XF270HU (or something else).

My question: Can I run these together as a dual monitor setup (the benq using 120hz/1920x1080 but the Acer running 144hz/2560x1440) or do they have to be the same resolution and hertz?

Thanks

If you would use them in surround which wouldn't be ideal with 2 monitors they would both run at the same res and hz. If you only game on one and the 2nd one is just at desktop then they both can run at their native resolution and refresh rate.

nope they don't, it's nice if they are the same model, but it can be done with completely different monitors.

You can set them for separate resolutions. Don't expect to game on both though.
