My issue with Apple removing the headphone jack isn't because I want to get an iPhone.  Its that other device manufacturers will go and copy apple and start to remove the headphone jacks on Android phones as well.  I bet that because apple removed it, Samsung will also remove the audio jack on their phones as well, justifying it with "it makes it more waterproof", which will result in more asshats playing their music out loud on the train or bus through their phone speakers, justifying their behaviors with "Oh sorry I'm charging my phone so I can't plug in my headphone adapter so deal with it."  Heck, I bet in the near future, we are going to get a phone with no ports at all and charges wirelessly.  It will probably be an iPhone that does that.  Cause who needs to have a hole in their phone to charge it, we can do that wirelessly!  We also don't need it for data transfer since Bluetooth exists!  Our phone is as thin as a sheet of paper.  WE ARE SO INOVATIVE FOR EMPHASISING THINNESS OVER FUNCTIONALITY.  In essence, apple is about to screw over not only their customers, but also everyone else.

I've been out of the technology scene for some time now, and only found out about the event in the last few minutes, so it's all pretty new news to me! Although I won't be purchasing a new iPhone or anything like that anytime soon, it'll be really nice to see what Apple come up with this year! OS Sierra is certainly of interest to me, with my Mac being one of my main daily-drivers for college and everyday work - although the new lineup of MacBook Pros are something I look forward to, as that's the direction I will hope to go once my dear old PolyBook finally gives up on me! :P

For those who are unable to view the stream on the Apple Website, I've come across a Live Stream available on YouTube. I'm unsure how long it'll be available until it's taken down (good going, YouTube), but it still might be pretty useful for those who either don't have the hardware/software required, or blatantly won't use Microsoft Edge! ;) The link to that stream can be found here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOAvJkN9Pzw

While I do agree more manufacturers may start removing the headphone jack if this all goes well for apple, there are already a couple android phones released within the last year which don't have 3.5mm headphone jacks, so apple wont be the first, but the rumours of apple doing it probably did persuade the other manufacturers to do it in the first place.

I don't think Samsung will take that route though, not unless it becomes an industry standard, mainly because when they released the note 7 they mocked apple for doing it and made a big deal/joke out of it.

It would be hilarious if Apple release the new phones with a headphone jack and announce they were just trolling everyone xD

On a side note, Tim Cook may have dropped a spoiler, apparently the iPhone may be getting Apple Pencil support... yay...

I think Tim needs to face some true facts of life, the largest fact being that the Apple Pencil is a stylus. ;)

Here's some information from Apple's website about the Apple TV, it's a bit of an unsung part of Apple in all honesty, never really have seen or heard of people using Apple TV.

Essentially, I've never seen anyone use an Apple TV before, at least not from the part of the world where I'm from! If anything, the TV itself isn't really used much anymore! I just stream everything to my PC/Mac ;)

You know, I was going to totally volte-face and try the iPhone 7, but the lack of browser support offered for the livestream is going to make me miss the event and continue my anti-Apple lifestyle.

Amazon just released the landing page for accessories for the iPhone 7. Looks like it's just the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus still (No 'Pro') and the dual lens cam is only on the Plus.

I know it's pretty irrelevant now seeing as the event is seconds away from starting, but just confirms the rumours are pretty much spot on, which means this is going to be a very boring event probably :/
