Q. Can You Game On A Cheap Atom Windows Tablet? A. Yes!

iamdarkyoshi

So I decided to test steam in home streaming with my dell venue 8 pro tablet.

I connected my PS3 controller to it, streamed rocket league from my main PC, and off we go!

Perfect 60FPS framerate on the venue 8, and very little delay.

Totally playable on rocket league.

As for running games natively, the tablet can play terraria with the gfx reduced, fullscreen (something my laptop can't do)

It plays duck game perfectly (I would sure hope so)

And the tablet didn't get very hot during any of this. Quite impressive.

So as a cheap diy streaming based "gaming" tablet, I would say that the venue 8 works very nicely!

Now to design a controller mount... Even though the tablet is rather... heavy...
