Video editing build recommendations?

TheMrMiffy

Here are the specs for a planned video editing build for my dad he has been using Macs for years and is finally ready to make the move to a PC, he still hasn't decided whether he's going to use Avid or the Adobe Premiere suite.

Specs:

Intel Core i7 3770K

ASUS P8Z77-V LX Motherboard

Antec One Gaming Case

SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive 120GB - Boot drive x2 in RAID 0

Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 - Storage drive

Pioneer BDR-207DBK Blu-Ray Disc Writer OEM

Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

Thermaltake 700W TR2 Bronze TR-700P

Galaxy GeForce GTX 660 Ti GC 3GB

Corsair Vengeance CML16GX3M2A1600C10 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3

Any suggestions?

BTW Will most likely be buying the parts from pccasegear.com because I live in Australia

IF within budget, I would recommend that you upgrade the cpu to a 3930k (more cores=better) and I would also recommend that you have 32gb ram at least, and 64gb if u wanna go crazy :P. So, otherwise this looks like a good pc.

CPU i5 3570k @ 4.5GHz Motherboard MSI Z77A-G43 RAM 16GB Patriot Somthingortheother GPU XFX 7870 GHz Edition Case Corsair Vengeance C-70 Black Storage 120GB Kingston HyperX 3k + 1tb Seagate HDD PSU Corsair HX650
