775 Gaming Motherboard

I have recently started to get into PC gaming and would like to know if anybody has suggestions for a 775 board that spports overclocking and over 8gb ram ?

(preferably DDR2 because i already have 8 gigs of it and don't have money to buy more)

look for P35/P45 motherboards on ebay

most boards should support the Q6600 and DDR2 momory

later models do sport DDR3 support

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

With ddr2, if you want over 8gb and you should get a newer platform, more then 8gb may not be supported on the motherboards since 8gb is the limit for  x38/x48/p35 boards.

Something even like an amd 880k will destroy a q9550.

The highest q9550 overclocked result is still less then the avg. user bench for the athlon.
