xw8400 workstation support and cpu

i have a xw8400 mobo and i want to know if it is supported on windows 10 and if i need to have a certan cpu in it to do a bios update or can i have a quad core in it? and if it is supported where can i get a bios update and drivers for it?

You can update the  bios with any cpu in as long as it works. This bios and driver will be on the website you just type in the motherboard model into Google and it should come up.  You can use cpuz to check your current bios version.

As long as they are 64 bit they should Work fine.

any ideas? i hear it is xeon 54xx compatable and others say its only 51xx 52xx and 53xx and im really confused

should work with 5400 series if you have a new bios, but you have to use the ones with the fsb of 1333 and lower.

 

 

Id stay away from these sytems as there much slower and make lots of heat.
