BF1 BETA feels like a bf4 reskin

does anyone else still feel that way, to me it is essentially a reskin of bf4, you still get  spawn camping snipers on hills shooting at you as soon as you spawn weapons are more or less like bf3/4 tanks pretty much is the same with some changes wich is the amount of crew you can have an equipemt. I feel the only different is the maps are different with minor gimmicks like gas mask and shit.

I've only played the Alpha so far, and not the new Beta, but Bf1 felt a lot reduced in scope, compared to Bf4. It was basically identical generic run'n'gun gameplay, no matter which class I was playing as (apart from sniper). It felt way too simplistic, to me.

 

I'll play the Beta, probably tomorrow. But it sounds like all the same issues from the Alpha are still there. It's not really Battlefield anymore. It's more just generic run'n'gun in small maps.

I didn't feel that way. I've played a few hundred hours of BF4 and BF1 felt like a breath of fresh air. I  would've bought hadn't it been for the fact that my rig can't really run it

huh well its properly because its still in beta, maybe the finial release will be better.

it properly just me then imo bf3 seems to be the best dispite its glitches and bugs, and as the leteration goes on i guess i got sick of it and asking for higher expectation.

I think alot of it is that the game modes are all the same. They need to reinvent the wheel so to speak. Currently in the beta, there is only conquest and rush.

BF4 was more or less just a reskin of BF3..
So why should it be different with BF1?

 

And i do understand that you'll properly gonna skip this one, i am thinking the same thing.

It's a significantly better looking game, new setting, new movement mechanics, completely different weapons. I'm not sure what you want. If you want some long drawn out simulation go play Arma 3. Battlefield will always be the in between game between COD and Arma as far as game play goes. And that's what the community wants.

I have just got access to it so will tell you, i will like the graphics but the gameplay will piss me off because it's just a cluster fuck of a mess like BF4 was.

 

 

BF3 was great, had proper infantry combat unlike 4 with it's even worse net code, how you can make that worse is unbelivable.

It feels entirely new to me, new graphics and effects, new animations, the soldiers feel different to control guns feel different, bullet speed and drop is different, you get more feedback from your bullet hits, the tracer effect works so nice, vehicles are very different, etc

Nothing at all felt like BF4, I mean I can tell its battlefield but thats the point

Yeah man I agree. Is the beta good? Yes it is. Is the full release worth my $60? I havent decided yet but im leaning more towards no. i mean i have BF4/BF3 which this game is basically just like except different setting. Plus, BF4 ran like absolute shit on release. Thats just my opinion though.

Basically the entire series is a reskin of Battlefield 1942, designed within the sensibilities of the time. If DICE were to take Battlefield 1942 and remake it using their 2016 production values and a modern shooting mechanics and UI, it would seem to be as much of a reskin as any other game in the series.

its more like battlefront, the smooth transparent UI, how you spawn in , the graphics are more similar to SW:battlefront than bf4

BF4 now has the best net code of any battlefield game ever. The 60Hz servers are was better than the 20Hz found in BF3 and previous titles

My thoughts are that essentially at the core you can call all FPS games a reskin of any other FPS game. The only real difference in FPS games is whether or not all the guns are hitscan or not. If you think the game is a stupid reskin, don't buy it. Simple as that. Buy it or don't buy it, no one want's to hear '(insert FPS title here) is a reskin of (insert FPS title launched last year here)'

anyway i think i might got bored or just burned out on bf games over  the years i look i loved bf3 after that my hours dropped by more then 1/2 then i hardly play more then 10 hours on BF1.
