wait a minute does the PC have DVI in the back too? If so you can get a DVI to HDMI adapter for a few bucks, DVI is just HDMI with no sound and a different connector

Neither mine or his have USB power. HDMI can power some devices that dont need a lot of power which is probably where the converter gets its power from

well just use DVI, you might even be able to get one from your local electronics store

I must of linked the wrong one, the one I had did not require additional power.
