Best GPU to pair with QX9650?

Hi guys, I recently got an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 with a MSI P45C NEO-FIR and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. What would be the best GPU for this system?

GTX 1080 would be best.......jk......Kappa........go with GTX 1060 if you have enough money.

What is your budget?

 

Something like a rx 460 would be the best without too much bottlenecking.

I think a budget of up to 150 USD would be more than enough for the build...anything more than that would be overkill I think.

r9-270/370/gtx950/hd6970/(6970 would be about optimal-or something similar performing. ( watch what card you use with what operating system ).

Rx 460s go from $100-$150USD, or try to find a cheap r9 380/gtx 960 which will perform a bit better.

I would say if your buying new, get something like a RX460/GTX950, if however you are willing to buy used, something like a gtx 680, hd 7970 or a R9 280X could also be good.

I used a hd7870 with my xeon x5450 and that was fine.  It wasn't so great with a fury x.
