'Gigabyte Aero 14' vs 'Aorus X3 Plus v5'

Hey guys 

I have been checking out some laptops and I bumped into the two laptops and they are very similar and I can't see which one is better, that's why I need your opinion.

I wouldn't say that at all.  Sure, they're not gonna be the quietest gaming laptops, but they are high quality gaming laptops.

There's quite significant issues in terms of it's build quality, as well as it's cooling system. The fan also has the most broken bios support as it ramps up randomly.

Aorus overheats to hell. Throttles to shit. Both that the OP listed have last gen GPUs. Literally obsolete at this price point by now.

Aorus overheats to hell. Throttles to shit. Both that the OP listed have last gen GPUs. Literally obsolete at this price point by now. 

Cooling is stellar from what I've read. It runs around 75-80*C. Compare that to Razer's 95*C.

You're right about the cooling. It runs pretty cool around 80c for it's size. But my point stands. It's screen wobble is some of the worst, as well as being a last gen GPU at this kind of price points makes it obsolete.

Not necessarily.  Sure, the GPU's aren't anything special compared to the 10 series, but they still hold their own in all modern titles.

I dont mean that. the 970m will hold its own. I meant that at the current price that the Aero 14 is selling at, there is 0 value/financial purpose to acquire a laptop that has last gen gear if it's selling at comparable 1060 prices. If it was considerably cheaper, it would be a fine option (cept for the screen wobble and the fan ramping issues)

Thing is, A 1060 in that form factor results in major overheating. Just look at the GS43VR. It runs hotter (even tho it's thicker) and due to the heatpipe placement, it's likely to burnout the HDMI port and chipset. And the Blade VR is basically a microwave at this point.

Tis true. If you really need this form factor, then something like a P640RE would be the best option. It's still better than the Aero 14 while being cheaper. The only thing the Aero has over it is a better screen and longer battery life.
