Do you have the Windows install media and key? I would do a fresh install after backing the files you need to keep and then using "diskpart" to "clean all" the boot drive.

screen grab your processes tab from task manager.

Also... 1.9gbs is pretty standard for an OS to use, especially W10 64bit.

Perhaps you should look more at dropping 15$ on another 4gb ram stick.

As reference, my install of W7 64bit is running with only opera open and uses 3.4gbs of ram. Though, I have a considerable amount of software running in my background for various programs and services.

Edit text was crazy small on my monitor from the picture. Hardware reserved is screwing you over, change it to around 100-150MB not 4gbs lol

It's not a memory leak, your hardware reserved memory partition is just way to large. it should be somewhere near 100MB, not 4GB. That's why you can't use all of your memory.

^This. Maybe even a RAM disk, if OP set one up.

Then set it off please. You don't need a RAM disk (or rather, you have no use for it) on a humble 8gb machine.

Also, please upload your pictures directly into the post. See that little "drag files here" thing? Yeah, use that rather than whatever crap you are using - it's just not working.

Now that we know where the problem is, we can further our troubleshooting. What motherboard and memory do you use? (specific model id's required). They might not be compatible.

Your problem is probably that you are using a single 8gb stick. Your motherboard probably doesn't support that type of stick of that brand(yet). You should update your bios / troubleshoot with 2x4gb sticks.

There seems to be a problem with images today.

BTW, it's an unspoken best practice on this forum to put your large images in the spoilers I'm using. A lot of people here are on capped plans or on mobile and don't want to re-download huge pictures every time they refresh the page. The spoiler button is the eye in the edit box.

The non-working crap is called LTT forum :P

This would happen in Windows 7 as well, it's probably a Windows issue. I don't know how 10 manages these settings, but in 7 you would go to msconfig, boot,  advanced,  and duaable some memory cap there.

It seems to me there was something else to it, but I can't remember now (I had the hardware reserved problem in a laptop a few years ago).
