Is Minecraft a good game for adults over 35?

I was about to download the game and something stopped me, maybe there was a price attached to it, or the Youtube search I did on the game concluded to me it was not for adults.

There are many adults that do play it, although like all games the majority of players are kids.

As far I know the majority of people who play it are between 10-20. If you think it looks interesting why not try.

I think like 7 - 15

 

I used to play it (as a server admin) but the community is all 7 year olds.

 

It is profitable though, back when i had a server I would make some money off "ranks" ig.

I am 39.  I just played it a few months ago (Vanilla), all the way through for the hell of it (new updates and all).

 

I like to build.  I also have two monitors, so I play while watching stuff.  I don't know if I would play as much if I only had a single monitor.  I spent six weeks building up my home/mine/farm.  I have not played since killing the dragon, but there is a new dimension to still explore.  Got to go in and do that sometime. 

 

I spent over 30 min fighting that freaking dragon.

There's no age limit for games aimed at everyone like this one is. I'm 30 and still play Minecraft from time to time.

Farm as in animals and crops to make food, not making money.

 

Minecraft is probably be the best $20 (CDN) I have ever spent on a video game.  I have played thousand upon thousands of hours of it.  Playing the Vanilla game is fun to get an understanding of the mechanics of:  Survival, exploration/mining, magic.  After you learn the normal game the fun begins once again:  mods.

 

So many modpacks.  Tech modpacks.  Magic modpacks.  PvP modpacks.  Graphics modpacks.  The community has put out more content that the official company, probably 100x more.  I mean like... a ton of well made content that alters the game entirely.

 

I have made severs for a small group of friends to play on.  Friends have run servers for our little group.  I have streamed my last recent stretch (anecdotally) to my niece in four parts on Youtube... from the beginning to the 30 min. dragon fight.

 

She had a blast watching it on her TV.  She wants me to fight the Wither next, but I am too lazy to farm  enough skeleton heads to spawn the beast.  I will if she calls and demands I stream., but she has not.  I think the dragon was enough.

The game is worth it, if you're on a 18+ whitelisted server. With mature admins
