PCI E x1 USB card

Go to solution Solved by spwath,

You are overthinking it. Any will do fine.

I have a single PCI E slot on my mobo and I would like to utilize to its best

I want to connect some extra USB devices. Been looking too much and can not decide one

First off I don't know how good is PCI E slot. I will be connecting mouse/keyboard there so I need it to be stable

Second USB 3.0 is not needed but I only have 2 slot in the front panel so if there are 3.0 then great, I can move my mouse/keyboard somewhere else (to the mobo itself)

Third I don't know how much ports is optimal for a single pcie slot. I've seen a lot of 2 usb ports on Newegg canada. For me 2 is a bit small. Maybe 3 and more.

Powered? Maybe I can charge my devices. Is it safe to charge without power, do I drain power from mobo or something.

Preferably metallic color (though if it is black I am fine)

Here I've been looking at Rosewill (nice brand)

And SYba with molex power
