All of you waiting for the 1080 to drop, when do you think it is gonna happen?

When the next generation of gpu's come out so probably 2 years.

New gens come out about every 18-20 months. And the price drops aren't likely until the whole line is shown. You'd be better off buying used than waiting for a price drop.

The only time a price drop happens mid gen is if one or the other comes out with a comparable card for cheaper. Or the other drops the price first. Even then you're looking at no more than 5%-10%.

 

If you're talking about all those price gougers, don't shop at Amazon or eBay.

Amazon is safe but mostly if you buy directly from Amazon.  Otherwise you have to do comparison shopping and make sure a third party seller isn't trying to gouge you.

Jet.com had Zotac GTX 1080 Amp edition for $567 last week with new customer promos cheapest i seen a 1080 for.
