EVGA GTX 1080 FTW having blackscreen and fan spinning to max RPM

ArchetipoEroico

Hey guys I have just installed my new gtx 1080 ftw but I am already having problems while gaming.

For example yesterday I was playing the witcher 3 and after 2-3 hours of gaming my screen went black and I heard the fans spinning to max rpm.

The temperature while gaming at 1440p ultra settings are around 80° which I think it's a bit higher then normal. Instead while not gaming the temp is around 55-59 which is absurdely high (I am even with the case open atm).

Should I RMA it? Should I try a different brand? Because in case I will ask for a refund!

No OC on my side.

But as far as I understood the card Out of the box OC is made to OC itself becoming a bit unstable. I think I will just RMA
